Players who are registered in a Baseball player-pitch program or any Softball player league in a player-pitch division must attend a tryout/evaluation. All registered players make teams and evaluations are used to balance teams and simply gauge your player's skill level.

Baseball Evaluations/Tryouts (updated 1/19/2018)
Players who are registered in a Baseball player-pitch program league age 8 & up must attend one tryout/evaluation (Note: registered league age 7 year old players interested in being evaluated for Farm (intro to player-pitch) will need to request an evaluation to and may be placed onto a Farm player-pitch or AA-Ball Coach-Pitch division team.  Tee-Ball and 6 year old players do not have to attend an evaluation/tryout day.

All registered players make teams, and evaluations are used to balance teams and simply gauge your player's skill level.  Players who have not completed their registration will not be eligible to tryout. Registrations maybe accepted on-site on January 27 (although your player's evaluation date may be scheduled at a later date/time).   Also, league age 8-12 year olds, enrolled in baseball divisions only, that do not attend an evaluation/tryout, will be WAIT-LISTED and/or run the risk of becoming INELIGIBLE to participate in ANY division for the ENTIRE season.

-Players registered on or before Thursday, January 18 will be assigned an evaluation date/time for January 27 or 28, 2018.
-Players registered on or after Friday, January 19 will be assigned an evaluation date/time January 27, 28, or February 3, 2018, depending on space availability.
-Wednesday, January 31 is the last day to register for CCLL player-pitch 8-12 year-old baseball teams.  Any registrations received after January 31 will be placed on a waitlist, and information about placement will be based on space availability and the decisions by the CCLL Board.

2018 Evaluation/Tryout Process
Similar to previous years, each registered player will be assigned to a specific one (1) hour evaluation/tryout date and time.  The evaluation schedule was posted in the Team Central section during the weekend of January 19-21.  Plan to arrive 30-45 minutes before your scheduled evaluation time to check-in at the Lower Field Snack Bar and begin warming up.  To ensure the league can evaluate and place league age players into the appropriate division/team, please make every attempt to attend your scheduled evaluation/tryout date and time.  But if an unavoidable conflict exists, please email as soon as possible to request an alternate date or time.

Players will need to bring their own glove, helmet, bat, and wear rubber cleat shoes.
Also bring a copy of the Player and Parent signed Concussion Information Sheet identifying that the player and parent have reviewed the sheet (only return the 2nd page that has the signature areas).

Evaluations will include throwing, fielding, catching, and batting.
