MAJOR ALL-STARS GO OUT IN STYLE!

You couldn’t ask for anything more in a Little League baseball game. Good pitching, good hitting, good defense and an extra-inning nail-biter. Unfortunately, most of our hits were right at the defense, and our young ballplayers came out on the losing end of a very exciting, well-played game against Manhattan Beach in the Section 4 semi-finals.

You had to be there. The Monday evening contest was a scoreless tie after 6 innings. Everyone was on edge as Culver City thwarted several scoring threats by Manhattan Beach - one on a well-executed inning-ending double play with the bases loaded. The game ended suddenly in the bottom of the 7th inning. With the score still tied at zero and a runner on first, Manhattan Beach stroked a walk-off homerun over the right-centerfield fence, ending the game at 2-0 and ending our run to the Little League World Series. Overall, Culver City finished the Sectionals with 1 win and 2 losses.

Congratulations to our All-Stars. It was a great baseball season capped off by a great post-season and winning the District 25 Championship. Good luck to all of our exiting Major ballplayers and we are looking forward to another great season next year.
