Happenings & Information (Week 2)

Hello everyone,

What a way to kick off the season! Great weather, an awesome new soccer complex, top notch fields and enthusiastic support from all the parents and friends. Who could ask for more?

It was great to meet all of the kids and parents and get the season started. The kids all did a wonderful job and seemed to have a good time. They especially loved the oranges and muffins!

Our next game will be this Saturday September 20th at 11:00 am on Field 1A. It should be sunny, warm and a little muggier than it was last weekend. Wear your shades!

If you noticed, fields 1A - 1F are grouped together and are part of a larger field (Field 1). FYI: all of our games are somewhere on Field 1 which makes it easy to remember.

This Saturday is picture day for the Brookside Soccer Club. Team pictures as well as individual photos from a professional photographer will be available for purchase. Please arrive 20 minutes before the game (10:40 am) at Field 1A so that we can meet as a group and head over to take pictures together.

Speaking of pictures I'd like to thank Anthony Redmond (part of Mauricio's fan club) for taking nearly 100 pictures of our first adventure. He has posted all of the pics to Shutterfly and has shared the link below. Awesome job Anthony!

The next item of importance: Snacks! Stewart's family has generously offered to bring snacks to this Saturday's game. Thank you.

We have 2 open dates for snacks if anyone else would like to volunteer, The open dates are: October 4th (week 4) and October 18th (week 5). Please let me know if you'd like to help out.

We've got more great drills and skills planned for our second practice session and we'll build on what we learned last week. I'm excited to get out there again and I'm sure that we'll do great. See you on Saturday.
